AUGUST IS LIKE THE SUNDAY OF SUMMER!
Our senior residents be running away to the Ringling Summer Circus Spectacular on Thursday, August 7th at 11am. They will showcase some of the finest circus artist from around the world. We can’t wait to be thrilled by their amazing performing acts.
As sad as we are to see the end of summer we are extremely excited to start up our weekend traditions of watching football together here at Aravilla Sarasota. While the NFL does not have their first game until September, College Football starts Saturday, August 23rd. We asked our seniors, who are you most excited to cheer for this year?
The past month our seniors have acquired a new hobby of jewelry making. Our group has made anywhere from earrings, to necklaces, and bracelets. Some residents have even brought old jewelry over to get repaired by our group. They are enjoying making all kinds of patterns and cannot wait until the holidays, so we can make gifts for our friends and families.
Senior Residents Love Our Excursions
On the second Sunday of each month, the Sarasota Art Museum offers free admission to all visitors. We took full advantage to let our senior residents explore some of the amazing artist that the museum has on display. “Don’t think about making art, just get it done. Let everyone else decide if it’s good or bad, whether they love it or hate it. While they are deciding, make even more art.” Andy Warhol
