Spring is here, and we’re making the most of the beautiful weather! From picnics in the sunshine to our walking club and simply enjoying time outdoors, there’s something special about this season. Come by our community and enjoy the fresh air and fun with us!
Joy through Art!
We’re not sure who deserves the bigger thank you—our wonderful resident Fred Fish for leading art classes every Wednesday, or Van Gogh for the inspiration! Over the past few months, our senior residents have created some truly amazing pieces through these classes. We even hosted an art competition, and we’re proud to share that our resident Janet took home 1st place! It’s been incredible to watch everyone explore their creativity, build their skills, and confidently show off their artwork.
Residents Getting Ready for Easter!
“Hoppin’ down the bunny trail, Hippity Hoppity, Easter’s on its way!” The Easter Bunny knows exactly where to find us here at Aravilla! We’ve been busy decorating for both Easter and spring, bringing lots of color and cheer into our community. To celebrate, we’ll be enjoying a showing of Judy Garland’s Easter Parade and having fun coloring Easter eggs together. We’re also feeling extra blessed as we begin the exciting journey of hatching 6 duckling eggs! We’ll be sharing updates along the way on social media, so be sure to keep an eye out. Wishing everyone a joyful and blessed Easter!

One of our amazing residents, Dori Pendergress, recently had her artwork featured at the Art Center of Sarasota exhibit! She had the opportunity to showcase her beautiful piece to art enthusiasts from all around, and we couldn’t be more proud. Dori has been passionate about art from a young age—both as an admirer and as a talented artist herself. Over the years, she has sold many of her paintings to friends and fellow art lovers who connect with her work. Seeing her art displayed in a gallery setting is an incredible experience—not just for Dori, but for all of us here at Aravilla. We’re so lucky to know someone so talented and dedicated to her craft. Be sure to take a moment to congratulate her the next time you see her!
