Hello Fall, Goodbye Summer!
Fun Facts about Fall:
- Fall is the best time for apple picking!
- Leaves change color as days get shorter which makes the green pigment fade!
- Pumpkins are a fruit not vegetable!
- Pumpkin spice doesn’t contain any pumpkin in it at all!
There’s something magical about Fall at Aravilla Sarasota! As the seasons shift, our senior residents can look forward to a calendar full of festive activities, from cozy autumn crafts and seasonal baking to lively outings that celebrate the beauty of the season. Whether it’s enjoying a scenic drive for a special outing, sipping warm cider during a themed social, or gathering for pumpkin decorating and music, Fall brings countless opportunities for connection, laughter, and joy for our assisted living residents. We can’t wait to share in the excitement of the season together and create lasting memories with our wonderful seniors and their families.
One of our upcoming celebrations will be hosting our own Oktoberfest at Aravilla Sarasota! Come drink some German beer and eat pretzels with us on Thursday September, 18 at 4pm. Music will be provided by Andrei. A quick fact about Oktoberfest: While the world’s largest Oktoberfest is held in Munich, Germany every year. For the 100th anniversary of the Oktoberfest, in 1910, 12,000 hectoliters of beer were served.
The past month one of our favorite outings was when our residents joined together to see the Ringling Summer Circus Spectacular. We watched the finest circus artist from around the world. There weren’t just clowns, but trapeze and acrobatics artist and so much more. Our group cannot wait to go back next year to see what they have planned.
Senior Residents Love Game Time!
Game time at Aravilla Sarasota gets even more fun with Jenga! This classic favorite brings plenty of laughs, friendly competition, and teamwork while also helping seniors stay sharp and active. It’s the perfect way to enjoy an afternoon of excitement and connection with friends.

At Aravilla Sarasota, our residents look forward to outings just as much as we do! Whether it’s enjoying a delicious lunch at a favorite local spot or exploring the community together, these trips are filled with laughter, camaraderie, and lasting memories. Getting out and about keeps our residents active and engaged while the new sights, flavors, and experiences provide a wonderful boost to both physical health and emotional well-being. It’s all part of how we make life here at Aravilla Sarasota joyful, social, and full of fun.
